The UWO Anesthesia Journal Club is held four times a year at University Hospital, and is a popular educational activity amongst our residents. Timely, thought-provoking articles are critically appraised in an evidence-based fashion by residents.

Objectives:

1. Using evidenced based medicine, develop critical appraisal skills to critically appraise clinical research articles to: (a) identify whether or not the results are valid; (b) interpret the results; (c) apply the results to patients.

2. Review current and relevant clinical anesthesia literature in an interactive discussion.
